Meşgalem started with a simple wish: that the first weeks — the name you chose after months of lists, the date you will never forget, the weight the midwife read out — should have a place to live other than a phone. Something you can hold, hang on a door, or tuck into a box for later.

Every piece is made to order in our workshop in Sancaktepe, İstanbul. We work from the details you send us, check each item by hand, wrap it softly and add a handwritten card, so it is ready to give the moment it arrives. We are a small team and we like it that way: it means we know every order by name.

The word meşgale means a pastime — the thing your hands return to. Ours is making small, lasting things for the biggest moments in a family’s life.
