Plain and clear
Cookie Policy
Which cookies Meşgalem uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind. Short, and hopefully clear.

Cookies are small text files a website leaves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others help us understand how the site is used. Meşgalem uses no advertising or marketing cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies
The site cannot work properly without these, so they do not need your consent.
| Cookie | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you chose (Türkçe / English). | Deleted when you close the browser |
mesgalem_consent | Remembers your decision in the cookie banner so we don’t ask again. | 6 months |
ASLBSA, ASLBSACORS | Set by the content delivery network that serves the site, so your visit stays on the same server. | Deleted when you close the browser |
Analytics cookies (with your consent)
If you choose “Accept” in the banner, a few cookies beginning with rl_ are set so that we can tell your visits apart from everyone else’s. That shows us which pages people actually read and which keepsakes get looked at most, and we improve the site accordingly.
| Cookie | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
rl_anonymous_id | Gives your browser a random number that says nothing about you. | Up to 1 year |
rl_session | Groups the pages you open during one visit. | Up to 1 year |
rl_page_init_referrer, rl_page_init_referring_domain | Records the link that brought you to the site. | Up to 1 year |
With your consent, this usage data is also passed to Google Analytics 4 through our own infrastructure. Your browser never talks to Google directly: the data reaches our servers first and is forwarded from there. That forwarding means your data leaves Türkiye (to Google LLC in the United States), and it only happens with your explicit consent.
What happens if you choose “Only necessary”?
Everything works exactly the same. No analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. To see roughly how many people visit, we keep only aggregate statistics on our own servers — nothing is written to your device and your visits are not linked to one another.
Changing your mind
Use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of any page to open the banner again and change your choice. Once you withdraw consent, no new cookies are set; you can remove existing rl_ cookies from your browser settings.
You can also block all cookies in your browser. If you do, your language choice will not be remembered and the banner will appear on every visit.
