I met my husband Özgür in Russia; we married, moved to Türkiye and are building a new life here with our daughter Aylin. While my little one sleeps or plays beside me, I go looking for perfume notes.

Merve is a friend of mine, and I write for Meşgalem’s Inspiration pages as a guest: about motherhood in a new country, not leaving myself for “later”, and the world of perfume that brings me back to myself in seconds.

Between a new country and a baby to look after, Kristina Çelik refused to leave herself for “later” — and fell under the spell of perfume. She shares the warm notes she loves for autumn: spiced vanilla and amber, sandalwood and cardamom, coffee and chocolate.
